Ben didn't compensate for the inherent delay of sending a DI out to an amp, miking at (even a small) distance and then back into Pro Tool! You always need to slide the mic signal back to line up with the DI.

Thanks Ben , as always you make it clear how and why to achieve must have techniques.
Much appreciated.

Nice!! I'm also curious about the delay compensation settings, so that the returned mic signal exactly syncs with the pre-recorded signal. Perhaps the lack of mix plugins and a low buffer setting (yes?) contributed to making sync a minimal issue? Your thoughts please.

Is there a delay? I will try it but from what I can understand there are delay ,therefore requires compensation. This is key. Other than that, good job.
Thanks

How did you set up the delay compensation in Pro Tools so that the DI signal and the Reamped signal remained in phase after going out and coming back in?

Love the sound of the re-amped vocals, I never would have thought of doing something like that. Will definitely be experimenting with these ideas...

Well done Ben. Short, sweet and concise: in typical Lindell fashion!
