Such an invaluable tutorial. Once again, Fab nails the detail and explains exactly what he's doing and why.

Beautiful song, playing and SINGING!
Curious Fab, what kind of decay is on your EMT?

Man he goes lighting fast when setting up SUM sent to PRINT track in order to A/B raw tracks and producers mix, can anyone explain how exactly this works, I see his routing, but not adding up I’m my mind as to how to is achieving what it’s achieving.

Fab always brings the good. This inspired me to make a Neve template in Pro Tools.

Excellent!!! Sounds great man!!! Good to see this also. Have to agree with peterkcraft about the ITB/OTB comparison. As for A.S. and all the "now ITB" mixers, don't forget: two words: convenience and economics . . . we live in a "good enough" era where the cost of quality can no longer be justified.

It just can't be that easy!)

I REALLY want to prefer the sound of ITB mixes because it would make life (particularly recalls) so much easier, but for me the sound of this mix vs the ITB mix isn't remotely close. The same goes for Andrew's ITB/OTB of Ziggy Marley. I know Andrew Scheps is an ITB guy now, but the OTB mix is just so much bigger/wider/deeper. My opinion anyway..

For those asking about the ITB version, it is linked in the video description, last sentence. Here's the link: https://www.puremix.net/video/fab-dupont-mixing-with-pro-tools.html

Amazing video (and amazing sounding mix) but, where is the comparison with the ITB version you talked about in the introduction ?

Great watching you go through the whole process here. Thanks!
Would be cool to see you doing the same just ITB and then compare to see the things that differ ...

Awesome tutorial, thank you!
Do you now write down/photograph all the hardware settings/fader positions for recall?
Thanks again, PureMix rules.
