As Jacquire continues with the mix of "Keep The Light On," he turns his attention to the guitars and lead vocal.
See how Jacquire King:
- Blends in the Lead Vocal Double
- Balances the background vocals
- Auditions different tape formulas and settings on the Studer A800 on the background vocal bus
- Tries adding delay and reverb to the background vocal bus to find a complementary blend of effects
- Starts from the top of the track to do a complete pass, grabbing things that draw his attention as they arise
- Adjusts SUGAR on the mix bus and explains his choices

The band got its start in New York City in 2014 when the Tuorto cousins, and long time friend, Paul, decided to join forces and they haven't looked back since.

I think having to listen to the song so many times whilst hes not explaining what hes doing gets boring and gives me listening fatigue. Its different when you are the mixer. Being pro ectively engaged automatically. But during these silent listening periods maybe there can be more annotation to make it more engaging for the viewer of these rather long spells of silence. Or have the mixer overdub what hes doing in post production of these videos in voice. To make it more engaging for us whilst were watching the mixer fiddlleing. When im mixing i can fiddle away of course. But if someone was watching me, i would want to describe to them what i am doing as i do it to keep.it interesting for them . Something to consider for future puremix tutorials. And thank you mr king ! Obviously hes sharing thoroughly his process! Muchly appreciated.

The lead vocalist was talking too much in Ep. 6 time 48:45. That there was peak "why bands break up" He was like, I dont want this fill 😂 . Every other band member was down at that moment. Otherwise, Great song. The singer needs some humbling.

What a cool series! Really interesting to see the process from start to finish. Excellent detail and explanations. I think I'd like to have a pint with Jacquire.

So funny, lol I use HEAT and it's great, but it's literally off when the knobs are centered.

Wow! So glad they left the Buzz segment in at first it was really annoying. but very cool to see how Jacquire responded. he was obviously annoyed by the persistent problem but pro active in striving toward a solution and reassuring to the band. Great Video!

Quite surprised by the amount of EQ they are using at the recording stage. Fix in the mix doesn't seems to be the rule here but who cares ?

Thumbs up to Rich! I know how hard this can be for a vocalist and I really appreciate that you made it on camera and shared it with us! Thank you 1000 times for that!
P.S. The whole series is great and the song is F.I.R.E.!

That engineer took wayyy too much time on the kick mic before even listening to the rest of the kit.
